Hungary to say goodbye to masks and welcome tourists?
If you have written your list, bought your flight ticket, and packed your bag, the only thing left is to save this article for later. Once you are in Budapest, make sure to visit at least one of these restaurants that offer a beautiful view of some parts of the city.
Of course, it would be impossible to include all restaurants of the capital where you can dine while admiring the panorama. This time, we listed the highest-rated spots of Budapest, which means that not all places fall into the category of the most affordable restaurants.

Városliget Café &Restaurant 1895 (5, Olof Palme sétány, 1146)
Mentioning the price range above may have scared you, but we have good news. The first place on our list, which is very much liked both by Hungarians and tourists, is not the most expensive restaurant we present you today even though it is located at one of the most beautiful spots in Budapest, in the City Park. They mainly offer Hungarian dishes and those of the region, but you can find international meals on their menu, as well. Whether you are a vegetarian, vegan or gluten intolerant, you will definitely have something delicious to try while admiring the Vajdahunyad Castle and the lake in front of it.
Meat Boutique (7, Lánchíd utca, 1013)
Despite its name, the Meat Boutique is not solely for meat lovers as they offer some vegetarian options for all those who get very hungry while taking a long walk along the Danube. The restaurant is situated right at the foot of the Chain Bridge, on the Pest side. Excellent food and great service for a reasonable Budapest price, not far from the city centre. What else can you need?
Halászbástya Étterem (Fisherman’s Bastion, Northern Tower,)
The next restaurant on our list is very close to Buda Castle, so of course, its price range is the highest. As they write it on their Tripadvisor page: “The Halaszbastya Restaurant is not just a restaurant, but an atmosphere, an expression of feeling...Margareta Terrace is the uppermost terrace of the Restaurant with gorgeous panorama.” They have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, and they even accept American Express credit cards. All this, however, is only secondary next to the most wonderful view of the Danube and Pest.
Dunacorso (3, Vigadó tér, 1051)
The restaurant, bar, and terrace together offer the most beautiful view of the Buda Castle and the Chain Bridge. Moreover, the prices are a bit lower than what you would expect in the case of a restaurant that is situated right at the Danube on the Pest side. If you like tradition and want to support a real family business, Dunacorso is your place, as the same family has run the restaurant for over 40 years.
